So, you may be wondering why Norfolk is, in fact, the ultimate family holiday destination, well, let us tell you!

Things to do

With Norfolk having such a diverse landscape of bustling towns and scenic countryside, there is so much to do. We have picked out some of our favourite activities and sights when visiting:

Get closer to nature

Head to Pensthorpe Natural Park to get a little bit closer to British wildlife and even find out about some of the great work that is being carried out in the park. To keep the kids entertained, they have a Wildrootz play area which has been inspired by nature. Their new Hootz Play Barn has recently won an award and been named Recreation & Leisure project of the year by the Rural and Industrial Design and Building Association.

Geocaching by the Bure Valley Railway line

There is a great nine-mile footpath which stretches the length of Bure Valley Railway, and is perfect for a day’s exploring and walking. For those who are unfamiliar with Geocaching, it is an outdoor treasure hunt where those partaking use GPS to find hidden treasures all around the world; just download the app, and you’re ready to go! The caches around this area are more than just hidden in a box by a tree, but there are some really inventive ones along the particular route.

Pleasure Beach

What trip to Norfolk would be complete without a trip to Norfolk Pleasure Beach in Great Yarmouth? There is a fantastic mixture of traditional rides and attraction making it the perfect fun-filled family day out.

Sea Life Centre

For a day filled with discovery, the Sea Life Centre in Great Yarmouth is perfect to educate your little ones. With an array of sea life to see and a lovely restaurant to fuel your tummies, you will be blown away with this great family attraction.

When visiting you don’t even need a plan, as there is so much to do. With a wide range of museums, historical sites and parks you are sure to stumble upon something during your travels.

An escape from everyday life

It is important for everyone to have a break from the everyday stresses of life, whether it is school or work. Over time, families can become disconnected, and this is why a family holiday can be the perfect way to bring everyone back together again. Holidays really do matter, as it is a chance to step back and reconnect with our loved ones. We all know that everyone gets busy, and it can be hard to find time for family activities, weekend trips and week-long holidays, but sometimes you just need that time away from home.

Norfolk is incredibly relaxing and tranquil, and we are sure that your worries will just float away. We have a great range of family friendly breaks not just in Norfolk but in Lincolnshire and Suffolk as well.
